Bob Peek is a singer/songwriter/self-taught musician from Belmont, CA. Growing up with his family in
Northern California, Bob says that it was like the TV Show Leave It to Beaver but with Pall Mall
cigarettes and Wild Turkey whiskey. Neither his mom nor dad played a musical instrument, but he
remembers his dad singing all of the classic country songs.
Over the years, Bob has become a prolific songwriter with over 2000 songs that he’s written, recorded
himself, or wants to have recorded. While his style of music is mostly modern country pop, Bob calls it
“The Bob Peek Thing” because he’s just doing his thing and his style doesn’t necessarily fit into one
genre.
Several years ago, Bob joined the British Invasion group called The Collective that performs The Beatles,
The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie.
In 2016, Bob released an album of country songs entitled The Bob Peek Thing: My Good Dog, A Doobie,
And You. It was recorded at Beaird Music Group in Nashville, (voted one of Nashville's best recording
studios by readers of Music Row Magazine) and showcases Bob Peek’s energetic songwriting.
Bob has won multiple West Coast Songwriter awards (WCS) over the years. His most recent award was
in 2020, when he won the Grand Prize for overall Song of the Year. He has also had numerous songs
rerecorded by international artists from Canada to the Netherlands.
In 2022, Bob started the Roy Orbison tribute act - (The Band BobRoy.) This tribute act currently has a 13-
song musical that is being picked up, produced, and shopped to various Broadway-type stage producers,
(The Unclouding Of Otilla Vanilla), which has been described as Nine-Inch Nails meets Billie Eilish meets
The Who.
And Bob Peek’s songs continue to be covered by artists to this day.
